FetchXL® Releases the FetchXL Reader for Microsoft® Excel
Omaha, NE (PRWeb) January 23, 2007 -- FetchXL today introduced a free add-in for Microsoft Excel called the FetchXL Reader, allowing anyone to open and read files containing data from FetchXL. The new add-in gives FetchXL subscribers the ability to distribute spreadsheets to their colleagues and clients without the need to paste FetchXL data as values. The free FetchXL Reader is available for download at http://www.fetchxl.com/reader.shtml.
"The FetchXL Reader is another example of our client-driven development agenda," said Chad Sandstedt, President of FetchXL. "This application provides added convenience and productivity to our subscribers, giving them the ability to exchange files with their colleagues and clients without having to jump through hoops to make their files accessible."
First of Its Kind Add-In Will Improve Productivity, Version Control
The FetchXL Reader is the first free add-in of its kind from a provider of financial data, allowing FetchXL clients to spend their time on more productive tasks than copying and pasting values. The FetchXL Reader also solves the version control issue that results from sending spreadsheets with data stored as hard coded values. With the FetchXL Reader, the original links to the FetchXL server remain intact, eliminating the need to re-establish the links once the file is returned to the FetchXL subscriber. For example, colleagues can make changes to the non-FetchXL cells and send them back to the FetchXL subscriber with the FetchXL links intact.
The FetchXL Reader will run on all modern versions of Microsoft Excel, from Excel 2007 to Excel 97.
